ROYAL OAK, Mich. – If you’re going to Arts, Beats and Eats this weekend, we have found the perfect place if you want to spoil your pampered pooch. They’re cooking up healthy, sweet treats at Fur Baby & Me in Royal Oak.

The store offers many wonderful things from freshly baked pizza to birthday treats, and everything is made with only natural ingredients.

“A lot of times people come in and say they want only the best,” said Jeanne Bailey. “They want to make sure that they’re feeding them only the best. They want to know specifically what ingredients are going into all of these treats.”

“You got to feed them good stuff, or they’re just going to not be healthy,” said customer John Hall.

Going out to grab a bite to eat would not be complete without a doggie bag. How about fancy clothes? Something pink for your princess, blinged out collars, and if you need a harness, they’ll custom fit your dog.

Even through Michigan’s tough economy, Tam Andrews and Jeanne Bailey have turned their passion for pets into a new career.

“As (the) Michigan economy went bad and my husband lost his job being in the automotive industry, we saw that this was for sale,” Bailey said. “It was a really, really good deal, and we decided to go for it because we both love animals, and this way we can actually bring our two animals to work with us, which is a big plus.”
